The present research was conducted within a tourist-gastronomic context, focusing on the typical snacks of the city of Puebla. The objective was to describe the primary consumption characteristics of Pueblan snacks by tourists visiting Puebla. The methodology employed was original empirical research, involving a review of relevant documentary sources on the concepts of gastronomy, snacks, and gastronomic tourism in original research articles within the economic administrative resources of the online library platform of the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla. Additionally, during the literature review, the stimulus-organism-response model was identified, enabling the creation of the measurement instrument. Field research was conducted to collect descriptive information through survey and directed interviews with tourists in the patriotic month of September 2023. The obtained descriptive results and their contrast with the theory reflect the key characteristics regarding the choice to indulge in Pueblan snacks, emphasizing that chalupas and cemitas are the most preferred and consumed by tourists visiting Puebla. It is noteworthy that September is the most patriotic month in Mexico, and the majority of Mexicans typically indulge in snacks.
